The window to nominate is from October 28th-November 22. Parents can stop by the LDZ school office to pick up a form with the secretary Ms. Ada. Any questions or concerns please contact GT Teacher Dianida Gonzales.
Student of the Month Featured Photo

Student of the Month

Lorenzo de Zavala Elementary nominated students who modeled some or all of the Six Pillars of Character, Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship, as students of the month. These students were recognized by our Hawgie and Principal, Veronica Hoffman and earned a No Uniform Pass pass for 1 week. Among all the nominees, one student was selected as the LDZ Student of the Month to be recognized at the September CCISD School Board meeting. Students will have the opportunity to be nominated every month. The students who were nominated were: M. Mata III, N. Ruiz, A. Medina, S. McHazlett, A. Luna, R. Lopez, S. Cerna, A. Mata, F. Mata, R. Astran, E. Cisneros, M. DeHoyos, C. Mata, M. Cervantes, J. Lopez, C. Díaz., A. Lazcano, A. Balboa, M. Flores, A. De Leon, and O. Perez. The students' behavior was described as, "always taking the initiative to pass out materials," "assist others if needed," "follows the classroom rules by raising their hand," "never hesitated to offer any other student a helping hand," "takes pride in doing classwork," "well behaved," "always on time," etc. M. Mata III was selected as September's Student of the Month. LDZ encourages all students to follow the Pillars of Character and congratulates the September nominees.
