With the official opening of the schools on November 2nd, our virtual schedules will now change starting Friday, October 30th. LDZ Teachers will now provide more live lessons throughout the day. Recorded lessons will be available to self-paced learners on Google Classroom only until after the lesson has been presented to the on-campus learners. Remote learners will have two options: 1.Log in to live session with the teacher and on-campus students at the time designated below. OR 2. Wait until after the lesson has been presented to the on-campus learners, watch the recording of the lesson, and complete the accompanying activities at their own pace. LIVE LESSONS WILL BE AVAILABLE THE FOLLOWING TIMES:
On-Campus Instruction Begins Nov 2nd. If your child will attend in-person instruction please be mindful of the following: 1. Complete the Parent Commitment Form at https://forms.gle/Rb4hEVnQP7LmKGQX6 2. Remind students to bring their own water bottle to school. 3. Masks are required. 4. Review the safety re-opening plan for entrance and dismissal procedures. 5. Provide your child with personal headphones (preferable with a built-in microphone).
***ATTENTION ALL LDZ PARENTS*** Each parent needs to complete this form for each student that is enrolled at LDZ. In order to complete: 1. Make sure you are logged in with your child's school Google account. 2. Answer each question on the google form. 3. Your child will receive an email once the form is submitted. DISCLAIMER: Online virtual instruction will begin, September 8, 2020. Students will NOT need supplies until they return to in-person classes on November 2, 2020. We are sharing the list in the event that parents wish to do early shopping.
LDZ will be distributing devices to 3rd-grade students on Monday, October 19th from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Third-grade students who already have a school issued device will need to return it before receiving the new one. The devices will be checked out to guardians only. Please be ready to present a form of identification. Please remember to wear your masks. We will also be collecting work packets. Remember to write the student's name on the packet.

These grades for these lessons are not recorded in gradebook The lessons are are strictly used to increase your child's knowledge of digital literacy.

Parents, You may drop off work packets for Week 2 and pick up packets for week 3 on Monday, September 21st. Where: LDZ Cafeteria Curbside When: Monday, September 21st Time: 9 AM to 5 PM All students should have already picked up their Science and Social Studies Workbooks. We will distribute the HMH Reading Book 1 Workbooks to ALL students on Monday. Reminder: Our teachers go live everyday to help student with packets. However, they are also working diligently to create prerecorded lessons for our self-paced learners who are working on the virtual Nearpod lesson or for you to view if you need further clarification to help your child.
Dear LDZ Parents, You may drop off packets curbside tomorrow, Monday the 14th at the LDZ Cafeteria. Students must have either completed the packets and turned them in or completed the work online in order to be counted present for last week. If your child completed all of his or her work online, then you do not need to return a packet. If your child did not complete all the work online, then he or she must return a packet to the school in order to be counted present for last week. Packets for next week will also be distributed curbside tomorrow from 8:00 am to 5:00 PM.
Dear Parents, The assignments for the week of Sept. 8-11, will not be due until Monday, Sept. 14. The assignments for the following week - Sept. 14-18 - will be ready for pick up on the same day. Visitors should wear a face mask and remain in the vehicle for the entire process. Drop-off/Pick up will be from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
Tuesday, September 8th is the first day of remote learning for CCISD. Students can stop by the central kitchen (next to Fly JH) to pick up their breakfast and lunch between 9am and 1pm each school day. If you did not pick up your child's remote learning packet for this week, OR if you have not registered your child, please call the school at 374-8080 (Tue-Fri 8-4). You will be asked for your child's school identification number. It is listed on last year's report card and on the schedules that were sent out with the packets.
